The city of Glendale is divided into 34 neighborhoods which are demarcated by streets, washes, and mountain ridges. Each neighborhood has its own unique history and character. As these eclectic neighborhoods developed, they combined to form the city of Glendale.
Glendale neighborhoods include Adams Hill, Brockmont, Chevy Chase, Chevy Chase Canyon, Citrus Grove, College Hills, Crescenta Highlands, El Miradero, Emerald Isle, Fremont Park, Glendale City Center, Glenoaks Canyon, Glenwood, Grand Central, Grandview, Greenbriar, Mariposa, Montecito Park, Montrose, Moorpark, Oakmont, Pacific-Edison, Pelanconi, Rancho San Rafael, Riverside Rancho, Rossmoyne, Somerset, Sparr Heights, Tropico, Verdugo City, Verdugo Viejo, Verdugo Woodlands, Vineyard, Whiting Woods, and Woodbury.
