Recreation is abundant in Glendale with a large number of parks that offer everything from baseball diamonds to skateboard ramps, as well as mountain hikes and nature trails that offer a scenic view of the Greater Los Angeles area. If you are a little more adventurous, take a ride to the summit of Mt. Gleason which is one of the highest peaks in Los Angeles. The ride up offers some wonderful scenic views.
Glendale has a lively shopping and dining street scene along Brand Boulevard where you will also find one of the few indoor shopping malls, the Glendale Galleria. With over 260 stores and restaurants and 1,466,053 square feet of retail space, it is one of the largest malls in California.
